Activities at Villa del Arco Beach Resort & Spa, Los Cabos

Our Activities Team is always searching for new and interesting ways to entertain you. Come and join in the fun of beach or water volleyball. You could learn Spanish as a new language or even how to create your own favorite cocktail at our bartending lessons.

We continue your entertainment through into the evenings, with nightly specialties awaiting you in La Perla. Afterwards, the nightlife of Cabo is still there for you, followed by a beachside nightcap.

A large variety of offsite activities and tours are available to you and can be scheduled through our Concierge.

ATV’s & Motorcycle Rentals: Both of these modes of transport offer a wonderful way to get out and explore the surrounding desert. There are several options for renting open to you in Los Cabos, and you will need to ensure that you wear a helmet and goggles. The beaches of Los Cabos are part of a fragile ecosystem, so ATV’s and Motorcycles are not allowed on the beaches.

Fishing: The crystal clear waters of the Baja peninsula offer some of the best sport fishing in the world. The area is known as the “Capitol of the Marlin” and Blue, Black and Striped Marlin, as well as Mahi-Mahi, Sailfish, Roosterfish, Tuna and many more fish, thrive in the waters of the Sea of Cortez. Land’s End has the very best fishing fleets in Latin America and our Concierge will gladly be of assistance to you in planning your exciting day on the water. Reservations require a minimum of 48 hours notice.

Cabo San Lucas Country Club: Get preferred access through The Villa Group

Golfers will surely enjoy this Dye designed 18-hole golf course known as the Cabo San Lucas Country Club. The Cabo San Lucas Country Club is set amid endless cacti and blooming Bougainvilla bushes and is the area's only course offering views of the famed landmark, The Arch at Land's End. The stunning beauty of Land’s End forms an incredible backdrop for a day you will always remember, on uncrowded greens with near perfect weather. Horseback Riding, Hiking & Mountain Biking: can be arranged for trail rides along the beach or into the mountain areas. Many species of plant life exist here and nowhere else on earth, due to the unique blending of alpine and desert and horse. You will discover beautiful rock formations, indigenous vegetation and abundant wildlife when you take a hike or a bike ride through the surrounding desert. There are favorites nearby which include the Sierra de la Laguna. If you choose to go a little further by car, then just an hour away, you will find a wonderful hike leading you to the waterfalls at Santiago. Remember to take plenty of water, sunscreen and a map.

Playa El Medano: The front yard of Villa del Arco is El Medano (The Dune Beach). This beach has earned the title of the most popular beach in Cabo San Lucas due to the variety of recreational opportunities that it offers, the natural beauty of the beach and surrounding area and also because it is one of the only safe swimming beaches around. The choice of activities is so vast, from competition games of Beach Volleyball on the beach to taking to the water in a kayak or canoe and making your way out to the arch at Land’s End. You could choose to Jet-ski, parasail or scoot through the water on a Wave runner. Or you could just sit in your private owners’ area and relax in your lounge chair, watching all the activity around you and waiting to see what the strolling vendors have to offer you.

Pools: We have two large, dramatic and very beautiful, outdoor pools complete with cascading waterfalls and wonderful views of the sparkling waters of the bay and El Arco, Land’sEnd. The main pool has a magnificent, full-size replica of a Spanish galleon situated in the middleof it.We offer an on-site water-sports center which rents out kayaks, boogie boards, motorizedpersonal watercraft and snorkels.

Tours: We provide a large variety of tours and excursions in Cabo San Lucas, and we are certain that you will find something to appeal to you. Whether you are interested in an excursion into the desert on an ATV, a cruise on a Glass Bottom Boat or a Pirate Ship, a Sunset Cruise, Horseback riding on the beach, Scuba Diving, Whale Watching (which is seasonal) or a romantic Moonlight Cruise, our Concierge will be happy to assist you with suggestions and your reservations.

Whale Watching: Blues, Grays, Humpbacks, Orcas and other whales can be seen in these mild and beautiful waters. The Whale Shark, which is the world’s largest fish, is also found here. The warm waters of Cabo’s Bay provide a wonderful whale watching opportunity in the winter months through to March. The whales migrate from the waters south of Alaska to winter in the mild waters of Baja California and the Sea of Cortez, where they find shelter, food and give birth to their young. Whale petting is a popular tourist attraction and on the North of Cabo San Lucas there lie several lagoons well protected from the elements which provide excellent opportunities to view these huge creatures in their natural state. In some areas, visitors may pet the whales from the fishing docks.

Water Sports: The transparent blue waters of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific offer you unrivaled sites for Scuba Diving, Snorkeling and Whale Watching, which is seasonal. Villa del Arco faces El Medano, which is the main beach in Cabo. The pristine, white beach spans three km (about two miles) and is gently washed by calm waters, leading to its popularity for Parasailing, Swimming, Sea-Doos or Jet Skis, Sea Kayaking, Snorkeling and Motorized Water Sports and Waterskiing.
